I’m sitting here this morning ticking off the final tasks on my ‘to do’ list and I have to say I have mixed emotions. After 20 long weeks, I think it’s fair to say this lockdown has been the toughest – the novelty of having lots of leisure time, no real schedule and all the DIY that we all became experts in a year ago sure didn’t have the same appeal in this house and that’s not to mention the home schooling! While I enjoyed the slower pace and time with my boys, the lengthy time away from my craft has been really tough.
Studio Revamp
I was pleasantly surprised at the announcement of our pending reopening on Monday but had to get my act together as I had planned on revamping my studio and thought I had ages to do so (I am literally knee deep in paint as we speak) to compliment my new website which I can say is going really well. It’s opened up my services to a far wider audience allowing you to peruse the specialised treatments on offer and read the ‘ins & outs’ of what’s involved before making contact. This allows my clients to have questions prepared specific to their needs which allows me to tailor make a treatment plan suitable to them and clears up any misinformation that we are so often exposed to online.
As you will have read in my homepage, I initially set up this business as a side line to my then tutoring career and while my studio was private and comfortable I always felt it didn’t quite compliment the services I offer. I am excited to welcome to you all back to my new crisp clinical style studio which i feel reflects the standard of treatments on offer and even more importantly will make it easier to maintain the highest level of hygiene which I pride myself on. As you can imagine, it’s pretty hectic at the moment with so many opting to contact me for appointments via the website and social media so I will take this opportunity to ask you to state what the exact treatments are and what date/time you wish to book as it will speed up your booking process and increase your chance of securing the appointment you hope for. There will of course be health and safety precautions when attending your appointment.
Health and Safety Precautions
- Please remain in your car should you see I am currently with another client.
- On arrival to the door please use the hand sanitizer provided.
- You will be asked to complete a form with your contact details and to declare that you are in good health.
- If you feel unwell or have any concerns that you may have COVID19 please postpone your visit in the best interest of us both.
Let’s hope that when those of us in the beauty & hair industry open our doors on Monday, it’s for keeps! I thank you sincerely for the encouraging best wishes and look forward to seeing you all in the coming weeks
Much Love,
Aileen
